Glitch ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Glitch mobile application.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

Account data — email address and display name when you register
Health & fitness data — weight logs, workout sessions, nutrition logs, progress photos, step counts, and macro targets you enter
Profile data — age, sex, height, goals, activity level, and fitness experience level
Apple Health data — if you grant permission, we read steps, active calories, body weight, and sleep data from Apple HealthKit

How We Use Your Information

To provide personalized workout programs, nutrition tracking, and AI coaching
To calculate your TDEE and recommended macro targets
To track your progress over time (weight, workouts, nutrition)
To send workout and meal reminder notifications (only if you enable them)
To improve the app using aggregated, anonymized analytics

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL with row-level security). Progress photos are stored in Supabase Storage. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS.

Apple HealthKit

Glitch requests read access to Apple HealthKit data (steps, active calories, body mass, sleep analysis) solely to display your health metrics within the app and to log weight entries. We do not share HealthKit data with third parties. HealthKit data is never used for advertising.

Third-Party Services

Anthropic Claude — powers the AI coach; your messages are processed to generate responses and are not stored by Anthropic beyond their standard data practices
RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions; see their privacy policy
PostHog — anonymized analytics (events like "workout completed", "food logged"); no personally identifiable information is sent
Open Food Facts — barcode and food search lookups; no personal data is sent

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your health or fitness data with advertisers. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at glitch@hungryandmotivated.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Glitch is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
